Phone / Device charging for free

Solar power offers a sustainable and eco-friendly solution for charging small devices such as phones and other gadgets. By harnessing the power of Solar PV technology, users can charge their devices on-the-go without relying on traditional electricity sources.

Solar PV for charging phones and devices is becoming increasingly popular due to its convenience and environmental benefits. Users can simply place their solar panels in direct sunlight to convert solar energy into electricity, which can then be used to charge their devices.

This method not only reduces electricity costs but also helps reduce carbon footprint, making it a greener alternative to traditional charging methods. With the advancement of solar technology, using solar power to charge small devices is a practical and sustainable solution for modern-day energy needs.

EV CHARGING FOR FREE AT HOME

EV charging using solar photovoltaic (PV) technology is a sustainable and environmentally friendly method for charging electric vehicles (EVs). Solar PV panels harness sun energy to convert it into electricity, reducing reliance on fossil fuels and EVs’ carbon footprint. This method also saves on electricity costs, as solar PV systems have a lifespan of around 25 years. Solar PV provides consistent and reliable access to renewable energy, reducing the need for charging stations and reducing dependence on large energy companies. The combination of EVs and solar PV can reduce greenhouse gas emissions, reduce dependence on finite resources, and create a more resilient energy infrastructure. The growing popularity of electric vehicles and solar panels presents opportunities for communities and businesses to invest in clean energy solutions. The combination of solar PV and EVs can lead to significant energy independence, resulting in cost savings, environmental benefits, and increased energy security.

HOME OWNERS GUIDE TO GOING SOLAR

Many apartments have balconies or windows facing the sun for several hours per day. These are the ideal locations to place Solar PV panels to generate electricity. Either with a grid tied tariff from your energy company, this would allow you to offset some of the energy produced to reduce your bill directly. Alternatively, if your energy provider does not offer this as you live in an apartment, the ideal solution is to get a battery generator, which gets charged up during the day and then you use this to power your devices and appliances in the home when you need. This has an added bonus of being portable as well. Meaning your free energy is free to be taken wherever you want and need the power.

HEATING YOUR HOME / COOLING YOUR HOME WITH SOLAR

Solar PV generates electrical energy; using this energy to heat or cool a house is an effective use, as a large percentage of energy consumption in homes is for heating and cooling. To effectively heat or cool a house, specific heat exchange systems are available. Such systems are ideal as they heat and cool a home efficiently and evenly, providing a comfortable living environment.

CAMPING WITH SOLAR POWER GENERATOR

A battery generator with photovoltaic (PV) panels can enhance outdoor camping by providing a reliable source of electricity for essential devices like lights, fans, and phones. This eco-friendly and sustainable method reduces carbon footprint and preserves the environment for future generations. The battery generator stores energy generated by PV panels, ensuring power is available when needed. It eliminates noise and emissions associated with traditional generators, making camping more peaceful and environmentally friendly. Investing in a battery generator with PV panels can save money in the long run, as it reduces energy bills and eliminates the need for fuel. For example, a family in remote locations can use a battery generator with PV panels to power lights, electronic devices, and a small refrigerator, promoting sustainability and reducing carbon footprint.

Application

Background:

Our journey in solar and renewables began 15 years ago when we moved from the UK to the Middle East. Believing that the abundance of sunshine days would automatically lend itself to an easy adoption of solar power in a country where energy consumption per head is one of the highest in the world. After a few years of resistance to accept solar we focussed our attention on Africa and developing nations where there was a greater need for energy and where fuel costs were very high. Soon to discover that smaller devices to focus on light were not efficiently made and were not affordable to mass market due to the overall low daily income of many of the people who would need these devices.

Yes you can use solar energy or wind energy wherever you may be living. There are new smaller options available which allow you to utilise any amount of energy generated freely.

Most suggestions on this site are for people who are not technically minded, however there are details for those who wish to know more. Most solutions are simple effective and logical to use and understand.

Its not difficult at all, we are in a rented apartment and manage to use solar energy to power many of our devices. It has helped me to understand that I can increase the amount of solar I currently have so that I can power up heaters for next winter, reducing my energy bill even further.

As energy prices are rising, reducing your energy consumption from the grid reduces your bill amount. Any investment on renewable energy is offset over many years (on average 20-25 years) This future proofs your commitment to the environment and each month saves you money. No compromise needed, just a new perspective on energy use.

What matters in winter is feeling warm but not breaking the bank balance. Using renewable energy, you can keep warm and use the renewable to power other items in your home.
